I had a buddy in high school who bought a Monte Carlo because he was really, really into NASCAR. I’ve never been to into it myself, but by purchasing that specific car (and adding a number of decals that made it look even more like the vehicles pro drivers were using in the races) he felt as though he were getting himself closer to the thing he loved most. Putting the money into a brand new automobile to make that happen felt like a wise investment at the time, and I’m certainly not going to be the one to fault him.

But that’s how people with normal amounts of money pursue their dreams of buying a race car. In New Jersey, Ferrari drivers have bank rolls quite a bit more extensive than some East Coast middle class high schooler, and as a result they’re able to buy cars that are very, very close to what’s being driven on the track. This year, that car is the 458 Italia, which is powered by a 4497cc direct-injection V8 engine that rolls out 570 hp at a whopping 9000rpm. And that’s just the street legal version.

Soon, every Ferrari dealer New Jersey has to offer will have to settle for that being the second-best Ferrari with the 458 tag, because in 2011 the automaker will introduce the 458 Challenge—a racier version of the Italia reportedly scheduled to run in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli next racing season.

What separates the Challenge from the Italia is its modified gear ratios and optimized dual-clutch F1 gearbox calibrations, among other things. As a racing car, it’s got higher torque at lower revolutions, and it’s also the first track-only Ferrari to apply the E-Diff electronic differential.

There’s improved suspension (obviously), it rides a little lower to the ground (obviously), and uses a different breaking system than the Italia (again—obviously). The rest of the changes are all things designed to keep the vehicle safe on tracks, while the Italia is more calibrated for safety on the road.

Someday, my old high school buddy may have the money and means to make a Ferrari happen for himself, but in the meantime he’ll have to dream from afar. I’m guessing he could buy his house three or four times over before having the means to afford this car. For the right racer, though, you can’t get much better.

When it comes to driving a Ferrari, there’s a fine line between street legal and race car, and in some cases two models can be almost identical vehicles with only a few minor differences. New Jersey Ferrari dealers work more often with the automobiles that consumers can actually drive around their neighborhoods and show them off (which I think most of us would want to do if we spent six figures on a car), but there are definitely those customers who want to race these suckers, either for personal enjoyment or because they’re legitimate competitive drivers who need the best possible automobile to win their races.

When it comes to Ferrari’s 458, the Italia model has been out for a while, but it now has a race-track-ready cousin hitting assembly lines soon—the 458 Challenge. Unveiled at the Annual Dealer Meeting in Maranello earlier this year, the new Ferrari creation is based on the 458 Italia and will take part in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli next season.

It’s a stacked automobile that should race well. Just take a look at some of the numbers as evidence. For starters, it has the same 4497cc powered direct-injection V8 engine as its street legal brother—an engine that pushes out a whopping 570 horsepower at 9,000rpm.

There are, however, certain modifications that separate it from the 458 Italia, namely modified gear ratios and optimized calibrations for the dual-clutch FI gear box. It’s also got an entirely new suspension specifically put together for a racing vehicle, and the heavy use of carbon fiber makes the overall weight of the 458 Challenge quite a bit lighter than the Italia. Furthermore, it houses Ferrari’s special traction control system and has center-nut 19-inch wheels and a Brembo braking system.

But that’s just a description of all the muscle. The way this car looks is enough to get even casual car fans excited. It is unquestionably a gorgeous car that’s bound to be a huge hit on the tracks in the coming year. We’ll have to wait for 2011 for it to arrive at courses all over the world, but when that day finally comes we’ll forget all about street legal and just get in the mindset of racing fast cars. That’s what Ferrari is for, after all, isn’t it?

For all of you obsessive Ferrari enthusiasts, your dreams of an actual Ferrari World have finally come true! What’s even better is that the grand opening of this state of the art theme park is less than 100 days away. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will open its doors for all to enjoy on October 28, 2010.

While your chances of buying a brand new super shiny red Ferrari F430 from your local NJ Ferrari dealer, may not be so great because of this economy, you and your family can experience the Ferrari passion, excellence, and performance at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Now even though Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will not be as close to your home as a NJ Ferrari dealer, it will definitely be worth the trip. As the name suggests, Ferrari World will be unveiling its presence just 30 minutes away from the gorgeous and sunny city of Abu Dhabi. More specifically, it will be located on Yas Island in the South Eastern portion of the Arabian Gulf.

Ferrari World will be the world’s largest Ferrari indoor theme park to date! You will be able to enjoy everything the Ferrari World has to offer and never have to worry about the weather. It will house more than 20 various rides and attractions that will deal with all things Ferrari in disparate ways. Talk about a tourist attraction! Claus Frimand, the General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi was quoted saying, “Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will provide an enthralling experience that will appeal to all audiences, including families and enthusiasts.” With rides like the Formula Rossa, roller coaster enthusiasts and those for an insatiable need for speed will be drawn to the theme park like bears to honey.

The Formula Rossa is the world’s fastest roller coaster. How fast? Well, lets just say that you will go from 0 to 240 kmph or 149 mph. This ride is definitely not made for the faint of heart. But not to worry, you will be safely strapped into the F1 cockpit with safety goggles on for utmost protection and true Ferrari style. Just like the Formula Rossa, all rides and attractions will somehow evoke the Ferrari experience for all riders!

To be a professional athlete is a heck of an accomplishment. To be the best professional athlete alive is something else entirely. To own your own restaurant is a lot of people’s dream, but it’s something else entirely to cook the consensus tastiest food in the world. And finally, owning a Ferrari is a lot of car lover’s dreams, but those suckers aren’t cheap. If you’re going to buy one, why not tackle the fastest road car Ferrari has ever made? There’s no reason to ever settle in life. Always go for the best, the top of the line, the cream of the crop. That’s what we’re about to experience with the new 599 GTO from Ferrari, due out on lots in the next calendar year.

To achieve its current level of awesomeness, the GTO had to have several predecessors help pave the way for the technologies necessary to make this car happen. By combining the technology from their Formula One racing cars and their road cars, Ferrari has come up with a vehicle that rides the fine line between the two (while remaining street legal). Essentially, it’s the road version of the 599XX, and for those of you that know anything about Ferrari’s sweetest rides, that one’s right at the top of the game.

So w hat makes the vehicle so speedy? It starts with a beast of a V12 engine that can get up to 670 horsepower at 8250 rpm and 457 lb-ft of torque at 6500 rpm. The displacement is 5999 cc or 366 cubic inches, helping get the car to a compression ratio of 11.2:1. With its six-speed transmission that shifts just as quickly as the 599x, the 599 GTO can hit 62mph in 3.35 seconds. It did a Fiorano lap in a minute and 24 seconds. So yeah, it’s pretty fast.

And, fittingly, only 599 of them are going to be produced. I guess at almost a half a million dollars, you have to be mindful of supply versus demand, but that should help keep this awesome ride relatively exclusive. Every Ferrari dealer in New Jersey is going to want to get their hands on at least one, but obviously that isn’t going to be an easy task. For those lucky enough to actually drive one, enjoy the best. Clearly, you deserve it.

For a long time, being given the privilege of driving a Ferrari was one of the most impressive symbols of status that existed in the entire world. Short of living in a diamond house with golden toilets, there are few things that impress people more than cruising around in a classic red Testarossa.

Any New Jersey Ferrari dealer would tell you these things pretty much the minute you stepped onto their lot, and to be perfectly honest that’s a significant selling point for these vehicles. But what if Ferrari allowed you to look almost as awesome without having to spend $150,000 for the actual car? Acer electronics has a way.

Allow me to introduce you to the Acer Liquid E smartphone, Ferrari special edition, which looks a heck of a lot cooler than a Motorola Droid or iPhone. The casing for the phone is Ferrari red, outlined in chrome and stamped with the company’s famous shield on the back. As a smartphone, it’s got all the access to the internet and applications that you’d expect from that type of technology, with a couple of special adaptations for the Ferrari edition.

These include custom ringtones that growl just like the engine of the Testarossa, as well as special access to Formula 1 wallpapers and desktops. All this comes in the tidy package of the Acer Liquid E that’s been so successful since it’s release earlier this year. Part of what makes this particular phone so conducive to Ferrari drivers is the fact that it’s prime for noise cancellation and has special technology to reduce echoes and automatically regulates volume. If you’re driving a beast of an automobile with a V12 engine, it would be pretty important to have a phone that’s still useable when that sucker is revving up.

If you’re a Ferrari dealer in New Jersey, it would be wise to push not only your vehicles as status symbols, but this Acer phone as well. Why not market the two as a package, even though the cost of the phone would be miniscule in comparison to the cost of the vehicle? Together, these little bits of premier technology could make you the envy of every John and Jerry on the block. And you’re better than John and Jerry, aren’t you?

Picture yourself riding in a Ferrari on a track – a roller coaster track! It may not be the biggest or the scariest but it has to be the absolute coolest roller coaster on the planet. This spring Ferrari lent its technology to a roller coaster in the Arabian desert which allows thrill-seekers to go from zero to 62 miles per hour in two seconds. That’s TWO SECONDS!

The New Jersey Ferrari dealer is as impressed with this new ride as with Ferrari’s new line and staff member would love a chance to journey overseas and take a ride. The coaster subjects riders to 1.7 g’s through 70-degree corners and its top speed is almost 150 mph, definitely earning the title of world’s fasts roller coaster, a title which has been held by the Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari in New Jersey.

The multi-billion dollar theme park Ferrari World, which will spotlight the Formula Rossa coaster designed by Jack Rouse Associates, will open this fall on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.

The ride is centered around the concept of Formula One racing, but will seat eight “drivers” rather than just one. The coaster car is pulled along a launch area for 400 meters almost like an aircraft carrier launching a jet. During the 1.3-mile track the coaster completes a series of sweeps and goes over a 170-foot rise.

All guests on the ride will wear goggles to protect them from the heavy sand and dust storms which sometimes pop up in the desert where the ride is located. Other thrill rides in the park include a flume ride though the plumbing of a 599 V-12 engine, the Ferrari F430 race simulator and a free-fall plunge ride.

Sounds like the ultimate thrill park. Too bad it’s not closer. Customers of New Jersey Ferrari dealer are probably thinking the same thing.

I remember going to see a sneak preview of the second “Matrix” movie back when I was in college. It was a midnight showing the evening before it officially was released to the masses, and the tickets to the thing were pretty limited. Seating was going to be tight, so we got there really early to stand in line with a bunch of other kids just as nerdy as us. We were all packed so tight that the room felt sweaty, but all the crowds and waiting and the late night were totally worth it because we got to be part of the special group that got the sneak peak.

Being so excited about something as silly as a movie (which ended up not being very good, by the way) has a lot to do with anticipation. You hear about something over and over again so that by the time it finally arrives you’re more than ready to just see it already. That’s sort of been the case with the Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge, but it looks like the wait is over. I’m about to make you feel just as special as I did when I get the tickets to the midnight show of the “Matrix” sequel. Check out the picture attached to this post to see what this sucker looks like.

Gorgeous, ain’t she?

Any Ferrari NJ Dealership would have to pull some serious strings to get its hands on one of these, but in this case we’re just going to go ahead and be glad that we’ve gotten to see it. Now, the picture we’ve been given doesn’t necessarily equate to the real deal, but we’re guessing that this is it because we’re not sure what else it could be. We’re assuming that with the recent launch of the GTO 599 that Ferrari is using the occasion to also leak the Italia 458. But who knows.

What we do know is that this car—whatever it is—is gorgeous. It sits very low to the ground and has these headlights that make it look like it’s constantly in motion. It’s sleek, and seems as though it’d be fast even if it didn’t pack a ridiculous engine (which it most certainly will).

Actually, it sort of looks like something Neo would drive in “The Matrix.” That’s just how awesome it is. If you want this Ferrari, New Jersey dealerships are going to have look really long and hard for it. But if you’re lucky, you’ll be among the select few who gets one. That’s quite a bit more exclusive than a movie ticket, isn’t it?

If you’re looking for a ride to impress, the new 599 GTO Ferrari is the way to go. Hailed by its maker as the fastest street legal Ferrari ever made, it was unveiled just weeks ago at the Beijing Auto Show and has been fueling a high-speed buzz ever since.

The new 599 GTO features an upgraded transmission with a 6.0-liter V12 creating 670-horsepower. This model also is more aerodynamic and lighter weight and has run a record lap of 1 minute 24 seconds at Ferrari’s test track in Fiorano. Staff at the Ferrari dealership New Jersey are confident this will bring in buyers for a look.

Engineers at Ferrari made it a priority to reduce the car’s weight, some of which was achieved by using thinner glass, thinner aluminum panels, a lighter-weight carbon ceramic brake set-up and a lighter transmission and exhaust. Sounds like exhausting work for those engineers, but they pulled it off!

The new engine modifications focus on friction reducing components and a redesigned crankshaft. To get quicker acceleration, a reprogrammed six-speed F1 transmission has 60 ms shift times and is able to downshift several gears at once.

Customers of any Ferrari dealership New Jersey will be thrilled with the stiffer read springs and the rear anti-roll bar. Ferrari also promises tighter steering with the new 599 GTO. Ducting around the wheels has been improved for reduced drag and a redesigned front lip provides more downforce on the front axle.

The aerodynamics Ferrari promises have been streamlined are aided by new side skirts which direct the airflow beneath the car’s body and a sharp racing-style rear diffuser. So we have fast, smooth, flashy and the Ferrari name: the sum total of the dream car. Oh, and it’s street legal!
